KP Series Screw Separators

Applications:

Series KP Screw Separators consist of variable pitch cut flight screw, wedge wire screens, motor, gearbox, inlet, liquid collecting device, hydraulic driving ring gap outlet and stand. 
The function of a screw press is to separate liquids from solids by expelling the liquids through a screen that surrounds the compression screw. The compression is achieved by tightening the pitch of the flights. The expelled liquids are received through the liquid collecting device while solids discharged through the outlet whose ring gap is adjusted by a hydraulic unit for further processing.
KP Screw Separators separator can be used to dewater different influents, especially suitable for materials with moisture content between 80% - 98% like algae, pulp, floatation & sedimentation sludges, biogas residues and animal manures.
The effluent solids concentration varies depending on characteristics of influents, but normally between 30% - 40%. They are commonly accepted by animal farms, water treatment, paper mills, sugar-refinery, biogas and organic fertilizer plants.

Features & Specifications:

1.Both ends supported screw shaft to avoid shaft swing and screen wear;
2.Separate heavy duty bearing near driving side to protect gearbox from axial load;
3.Material cushions within the interrupted flights form soft squeeze areas resulting in better dewatering for slippery and slimy materials；
4.Plug caused by several soft squeeze cushions prevents wet material from purging at the discharge when the consistency or the flow rate changes.
5.The resistor teeth not only prevent co-rotation but also increase agitation of the material inside, which conduces better dewatering through stirring wet material against the screen.
6.Compared to perforated sheet, wedge wire screens result in greater burst strength and extended useful life when pressing abrasive materials;
7.Notches on screw flight and self-cleaning wedge wire screens reduce the chance of screen blinding;
8.Cord cutter to diminish flow jamming at the inlet when processing long stringy material;
9.Solid dryness can be adjusted by changing the ring gap outlet with hydraulic cylinder;
10.Split clamshell screens to facilitate assembly and maintenance.
